THE STORY OF PENSACOLA SPORTS

FOR MORE THAN 70 YEARS, PENSACOLA SPORTS HAS HELPED SHAPE THE IDENTITY OF PENSACOLA THROUGH THE POWER OF SPORT.
Founded in 1955 as the Pensacola Sports Association, the organization began by managing golf events, including nationally recognized tournaments that placed Pensacola on the map as a competitive sports destination.
 

FLORIDA'S FIRST AND OLDEST SPORTS COMMISSION

From those early days, Pensacola Sports expanded its reach well beyond the fairways. Today, it serves as Florida’s first and oldest sports commission, impacting more than 60,000 participants, fans, and spectators annually across events ranging from running and soccer to tennis, baseball and football.

Signature initiatives like the Double Bridge Run, High School All-Star Series and Annual Awards Banquet have become traditions that celebrate athletic achievement and bring the community together.
