USTA Men’s Pro Circuit event begins May 7at Roger Scott
Pensacola, FL – (May 5, 2026) – Rising stars and seasoned pros from across the globe will take the courts in Pensacola this month, as the Pensacola Pro Tennis Championship returns May 7–17 at Roger Scott Tennis Center. The USTA Men’s Pro Circuit M25 event brings world-class competition to Northwest Florida, offering fans a close-up look at the next generation of tennis.
Players representing Australia, Kazakhstan, Japan, Portugal and beyond will compete for valuable ranking points and prize money. The tournament continues to build a reputation as a proving ground for players on the cusp of the sport’s biggest stages.
“This event puts Pensacola right in the middle of the global tennis pipeline,” said Pensacola Sports Director of Events Amy Marquez. “Fans here get to see elite talent before they break through on the world stage. That’s what makes this tournament special year after year.”
Tournament Director Brock Sakey said the field reflects the depth and competitiveness of professional tennis.
“You’ll see a mix of hungry young players chasing their first big breakthrough and experienced pros working their way back into top form,” said Sakey. “Every match matters at this level, and the level of play is incredibly high. It’s some of the best tennis you can watch anywhere.”
The tournament’s track record includes players who have gone on to international success, including Alexander Zverev, Denis Shapovalov, Felix Auger-Aliassime and Jack Sock. Zverev, a former world No. 2, competed in Pensacola as a teenager before rising through the ATP ranks.
Local talent will also take center stage, as Pensacola native Justin Lyons, a Catholic High graduate now playing at Florida State University, is expected to compete.
“Getting to play this event in front of a hometown crowd means everything,” said Lyons. “It’s a great opportunity to test my game against top-level competition and represent Pensacola on this stage.”
Matches are open to the public, offering fans a chance to experience high-level professional tennis in an intimate setting.
